1. What headphones are you using?

Ultimate Kiosk uses Vic Firth Stereo Isolation Headphones with a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz. They are manufactured with metal armour around the cable and provide similar responses to TDH39 headphones that are industry standard.

2. Can we print off the client results?

Our software is capable of printing on any compatible system with an installed and operating printer, however, resolution of the print out may vary between printers.

3. Does the Kiosk meet CASLPA requirements?

While CASPLA, like most other professional associations indicate standards of practice guidelines, it does not specify the type of equipment used. The Ultimate Kiosk hearing screening Solution employs an ascending pure ton protocol, a rigorous and extensively tested classification methodology and is calibrated to ANSI/ISO specifications.

4. Is the Kiosk FDA approved?

Yes. The FDA previously approved our embedded software. It was used in Industrial Hearing Conservation programs where over 1 million tests were carried out to separate medical problems from industrial hearing problems. The Kiosk uses the same embedded software classification system with upgraded hardware.

5. Software Warranty

We warrant that the Software is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use. In addition, the Software and any update to it will be performed substantially in accordance with the specifications cited by Ultimate Kiosk (UK). The warranty does not cover any copy of the Software or update to it not supplied by UK or changed in any way by the Customer. We are not responsible for problems caused by changes in or modifications made by the Customer or third parties that may compromise the integrity of the software.

6. Standard Manufacturer's Warranty

Covers all components for the first year (or alternate length with extended warranty) from date of shipment and provides a basic return-to-depot warranty. In the unlikely event of component failure the customer removes the component and ships it to Ultimate Kiosk (UK) at no cost to the Company. UK will repair or replace the component and return to the customer at the Company's expense. The component will be shipped back using the same method of shipment as was used to return to UK and maximum within 30 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for installation of repaired or replace component.

7. Other hearing assessment software run on iOS, why doesn't Ultimate Kiosk?

The Windows platforms we use are a better choice to ensure proper stability, data integrity, confidentiality, ease of navigation,

8. What happens if my device prompts me for a device ID?

Make sure your device is connected to the internet. Then enter the 36-character key, device ID which was provided to you. If you do not have this device ID, please contact Ultimate Kiosk Support at info@ultimatekiosk.com or 905-357-8378

9. What should I do if a “Software is expired”, message is displayed?

The Software has a built in expiry date that is set to accommodate customer’s contractual agreements. If your software expires prior to that date, please contact Ultimate Kiosk Support; 905-357-8378

10. What should I do if a “Software is not registered”, message is displayed?

There is an indication in the Ultimate Kiosk database that the software was not properly configured. This may happen for several reasons, please contact Ultimate Kiosk Support; 905-357-8378

11.  What should I do if my screen is white and grey, after I input the device ID?

This may occur during extraction when you do not press the unblock button in the properties of the zip file. Such an error occurs infrequently and is dependent on your computer setup. You will need to go to your installation directory and run the factory reset file in the install directory. Please contact Ultimate Kiosk Support at 905-357-8378 so we can reset your device ID.

12. There’s static in the headphones, what to do?

Please insure your headphones are firmly plugged in to your SYBA USB audio adaptor via it’s audio port (green port, with the headphone symbol). Then insure your SYBA USB audio adapter is firmly plugged in to your designated USB port. If further problems arise please contact Ultimate Kiosk Support at 905-357-8378

13. While taking the test, the progression freezes, what should I do?

Press the restart test button, located at the top right corner of the screen. This can be caused by someone rapidly pressing the” I hear the tone” button.

14. What should I do when there is a duplication of the audio gram, which is displayed at the completion of the test?

Simply press the restart button at the top right corner of the screen and run the test again.

15. I don’t see my test results in the portal, what should I do?

Please make sure that your device has a strong internet connection. Then complete a full hearing test, once at the end of the test, press the restart button which is located on the top right corner of the screen.  This will initiate a data dumb and upload any tests that were completed while the kiosk was not connected to the internet..

16. My software screen looks “zoomed in”, what do I do?

Zoom out, please check your device settings and adjust your magnification to a comfortable and convenient level.

17. The software is asking me for a configuration package, what does this mean?

Please close any open dialogue boxes. Exit out of the software. Please make sure your device has a strong internet connect, then try again.
